Calories count with iiko
New law in the UAE.
All the restaurants and cafes must count the calories for the dishes!
Those chains that have more than five branches are to work by the new scheme starting from November, 1st in 2019. At the second stage in January of 2020, all other restaurants, catering-companies, hotels, etc. have to join. For law violation there will be a really big fines.
iiko can count the calories automatically!
The process is simple, but effective and just a must have for all the restaurant owners.
How it works
1
Write the nutritional value
Initially, you have to write the nutritional value (carbes, proteins, fats - CPF) in the item card. This information may be taken from any table of the calorie content or the recipes book. However, it concerns only the items with no packaging, like fruits, vegetables, etc.
2
Check the amount
If there is a packaging, just check the amount of the CPF and write it down into the item card.
3
Choose the basic way of cooking
After you've assigned the calorie content to all the items, open the "Dish" option. Choose the basic way of cooking in order to take into account the losses of the product.
4
Click the button
Then click the button "Count" and the calorie content for 100 gm or 1 portion will be calculated automatically!
You can print the CPF information right on the labels or the recipes! This function will help you avoid any problems with an automation of this, at first glance, sophisticated process.
